Castello Svevo Angioino Manfredonia
Latest update: 16 October 2022
The Castello Svevo Angioino in Manfredonia was originally established in 1279. The Svevo part of the castle's name relates to the Swabian or Hohenstaufen dynasty that started the castle and the Angioino, to the Angevins that eventually finished it.
One of the most intact and impressive castles of its kind, it's the town's iconic sight and houses a National Archaeological Museum. |
