The Basilica di Santa Croce in Lecce is one of the most famous churches in southern Italy and particularly well-known for its incredible facade. Construction of the current structure started in 1549 but it wasn't fully completed until 146 years later in 1695.
One of the finest examples of the Lecce Baroque architectural style, the elaborate design of the facade is an extraordinary sight. |
